Blue Mountain Lake Blend

In 1881 Frederick C. Durant, cousin of William West Durant built theProspect House on Blue Mountain Lake's Prospect Point. Known as the "Palacein the Wilderness", it was the most luxurious hotel then existing in the Adirondacks, it was the first hotel in the world to have electric lights in every room.

Cranberry Lake Blend

The lake was named for the extensive cranberry bogs that it once contained. Makes you just think of turkey!! This area is the least traveled and by many accounts the most beautiful part of the Adirondacks. Great wilderness canoe, kayak and hiking opportunities abound! This rub is great for grilling or roasting turkey, chicken and pork !

Lake George Blend

Lake George and the Adirondacks played a prominent role in both the French & Indian War and the American Revolution. Thomas Jefferson said “ Lake George is without comparison, the most beautiful water I ever saw….” This southwestern style rub enhances steaks, chops and burgers on the grill and makes a “mean” chili!

Piseco Lake Blend

Our family camp was located in Morehouse and we spent most of our summers swimming at Popular Point on Piseco Lake. These family gatherings are the inspiration for our Piseco Lake Blend. This parmesan-herb blend can be used, in dips, on pasta, as a salad dressing , or a rub on chicken or pork!

Raquette Lake Blend

W.W. Durant was the designer and developer of the "Great Camp" style of architecture.  He once held title to over 1 million acres of the central Adirondacks.   Raquette Lake, N.Y. is the birthplace of "Great Camp" Architecture for it was here that W.W. Durant built: Camp Pine Knot, Camp Uncas and Sagamore.

Lake Placid Blend

Lake Placid was founded in the 1800’s to develop a mining operation for an iron ore deposit discovered nearby. By the late 1900’s , with leisure time increasing,Lake Placid was discovered by the rich and famous who were drawn to the fashionable Lake
Placid Club, founded by Melvil Dewey, inventor of the Dewey Decimal System.

Tupper Lake Blend

Hundreds of French-Canadian settlers arrived in Tupper Lake in the early 1900’s because it was the junction for two major railroads linking the Adirondacks with Montreal and Ottawa. These hardy settlers came in search of work in the bustling logging industry. With them came wonderful holiday traditions and family recipes.
